| Wow, it's been a long time since I posted, but right now I have little else to do. It's funny, because my last post talked about how I'm retarded because I was thinking about taking some ridiculous number of Russian classes. I am now at the logical continuation of that choice, in someone's house in Bloomington, Indiana taking an intensive Russian workshop (two months long!). Bloomington is a really pretty city, and Indiana University honestly is the most beautiful campus I have ever seen. I love Athens, but this place is awesome. That being said, I don't really know many people here, and a little more than 24 hours ago, I knew absolutely no one at all, including my host. If I don't get swamped down with hours of mind-numbing Russian homework, I'll probably update this a bit more often, which could still be semiannually. But we'll see. I hope everyone reading this is doing well. | | |
| I'm such a retard. I think that I'm going to try and take four semesters of Russian in two. My alternatives to such a drastic course of action are going to summer semester in Inidana University, which I don't want to do because of money and leaving friends/Melissa, or dropping my interest in Russian and just going for a German degree instead. Instead, I am super-ambitious/mentally unstable and am going to try to complete 1001 this semester while simultaneously studying to take a placement test to bypass 1002, and next semester taking 2001 while trying to bypass 2002, all so I can take 3001 next fall.
How is everyone else doing? | | |
| I've been observing student behavior, and I have noticed a few things about people and their social behavior and what influences it. UGA has many uber-socialites, and they probably actually just go here to party. Annoying, but fair enough. The other extreme are students who wear sunglasses and go everywhere listening to their cool new ipod, and pretending they're not anti-social because they have cool stuff. Another interesting case is that minority students who one would assume would try to blend in and make our campus more "diverse" like our government is pushing the school to do, usually seem to group together and stay away from both white people and other minority groups, unless they happen to be the coolest of the cool, Blatinos. In this case, 1 + 1 doesn't equal 2. I could just be disappointed because I want to love and hang out with everybody, but they use anti-racism laws and mandatory diversity to avoid me and my race. *sigh* | | |
| I'm definitely am not really a democrat, republican or anything else, because I don't believe in partisan politics, but I suppose if I were...
You Are a Conservative Democrat |

Frankly, the way most other Democrats behave embarasses you greatly.
You pride yourself on a high level of morals, and you have a good grasp on right and wrong.
It's likely you think America needs to get back to its conservative, Juedo-Christian values.
Why aren't you a Republican then? Because you believe the goverment helps more than hurts.

| It's been a long long time since I've posted a real entry on this thing. Truth be told, I just felt like I haven't had much to say. Nothing terribly interesting going on, except that my mom goes in for back surgury on the 10th, which is also Melissa's birthday, which sucks. I move in to the dorms on the 14th, and apparently my roommate is from Hawaii. This should be interesting. I hope everyone is enjoying their summer. | | |
